The information we collect depends on how you use our Services. We collect only what is reasonably necessary to provide and improve them.

2.1 Account and profile information

When you create an account, we may collect:

• Name
• Email address
• Profile information you choose to provide (for example, age, gender, height, weight, dietary preferences, health goals, or activity level)
• Account credentials (such as a password you set for the mobile app)

This information is used to identify you, manage your account, and deliver personalized nutrition and meal-planning features.

2.2 Authentication

We use different authentication methods depending on the platform:

• Website: We use Firebase Authentication (Google LLC) to sign you in, including Google sign-in. Firebase may process your email address, display name, profile photo URL, and a unique user identifier. Firebase's privacy practices are described at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
• Mobile app: We authenticate users through our own Express.js backend API. Account credentials and session tokens are handled by our servers. We do not use Firebase Authentication in the mobile app.

2.3 Nutrition, meal-plan, and health-related data

If you use our meal-planning or tracking features, we may collect:

• Personalized meal plans assigned or prepared for you by a nutritionist
• Food and meal logs
• Hydration and water intake records
• Weight and progress measurements you enter
• Notes or preferences related to your nutrition program

This data is used to provide coaching features, track your progress, and improve your experience. It may be visible to authorized nutrition staff who support your plan.

2.4 Subscription and payment information

If you purchase a subscription or digital content, we may collect:

• Subscription status, plan type, and billing period
• Transaction references and payment confirmation details
• Email address associated with your purchase

Payment processing is handled by third-party payment providers. We do not store full credit or debit card numbers on our servers.

• Website payments: Processed by Paystack. Paystack collects and processes payment details according to its own privacy policy.
• Mobile app purchases (where applicable): Processed by Google Play Billing. Google handles payment information according to Google's privacy policy.

2.5 Usage, analytics, and diagnostics

We may collect usage information such as:

• Pages or screens viewed and features used
• Device type, operating system, browser type, and app version
• IP address and general location derived from IP (country/region level)
• Crash logs, error reports, and performance data

On our website, we use Firebase Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand how the site is used and to improve performance. Our mobile app may use similar analytics or crash-reporting tools to monitor stability and fix issues. Where required, we will ask for your consent before enabling non-essential analytics.

2.6 Push notifications

If you enable push notifications in the mobile app, we may collect a device push token to send you reminders, meal-plan updates, account alerts, or other service-related messages. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.

2.7 Newsletter and marketing

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. We may use a third-party email service (such as Brevo, via our Strapi backend) to manage subscriptions and send updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting us.

2.8 Advertising (website only)

Our website uses cookies and browser local storage for essential functions (such as sign-in state and theme preferences). You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.

Account and data deletion

You may request deletion of your account and personal data by emailing info@weightcheque.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request." Please include the email address associated with your account. If you use the mobile app, you may also submit a deletion request through in-app settings where available. We will verify your identity before processing the request and will confirm once deletion is complete, subject to any legal retention requirements.

8. Children's privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
